5th Wheel Frame Flex Repair

What Is Frame Flex?
An RV that experiences a crack at the bottom corner of a sidewall slide out of a 5th wheel due to broken tube welds and/or inadequate reinforcement at build. You will see movement when loading and unloading from the hitch.
Left unaddressed, frame flex causes cascading damage — wall separation, leaking seams, slide misalignment, and eventually compromised structural integrity.
How Is It Repaired?
- Remove slide out, front cap, and partial sidewall
- Inspect all welds and repair broken/cracked ones
- Install welded aluminum gussets to reinforce
- Replace wood or add where required
- Reinstall all components and reseal
Structural Disassembly
The slide out, front cap, and affected sidewall section are carefully removed to expose the frame and weld points.
Weld Inspection & Repair
Every weld is inspected. Broken or cracked welds are repaired and aluminum gussets are welded in to reinforce the frame.
Rebuild & Reseal
Wood blocking is replaced or added as needed, all components are reinstalled, and every seam is resealed to factory spec.
